You know what has been bothering me lately is haters.. Not any group of haters specifically, but just haters in general. For those of you who didnt grow up with the term "hater" its pretty self explanatory a hater is defined as one who habitually hates. And I myself am very guilty of hating. It is very easy to fall into that mentality. My primary example is Americas Justin Beiber. Many people of all different age, sexes, and races have a shared group discust for the Beibs. Some don't like his haircut, some don't like his music, and most deep down are just envious of his sucees. The reality is that JB is only a teenage kid! He is doing what any one of you would be doing in his situation. There is a video on YouTube of Justin beiber performing a show in Sacramento of all places, where an audience member throws a water bottle and hits the kid in his head. It got an insane number of "Hits", a term used when people are using their computer to look at videos from your computer. Not only did it have a million hits it also had thousands of posts saying that it serves him right, and how he deserves it. Its just sickening to me , this group mentality of hate. The comments only get worse as you read on, people threaten his life and wish bodily harm on him. He is just a child! I remember how dumb I was at his age, and how clueless about the real world I was. This kid has 99 problems and an itch ain't one. I am gonna do my best to be a conscientious objecter, and realize when I'm sipping on Hater-ade for no good reason. After all Grandmaster Yoda warned us about this when he said," Fear is the path to the darkside. Fear leads to anger, anger leads to HATE, HATE leads to suffering." Also stop hating on Microsoft and Windows products! Its getting ridiculous..

Very true. I am 100% guilty of this. This post make me feel bad, but makes me realizaed I need to change my way of thinking.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Cory. =)
Poor Justin Beaver! People like others or things that they can relate to and dislike things they cant relate to. We are in 2 wars and worse economy in 70 years. Alot of people are losing homes and dreams and cant relate to a 16 yr old given a Lamborghini for birthday and got a Dove tatooed to his hip. Playing w a radio controlled helicopter in a restarant is immature/disrespectful even for a 16 yr old. I can see why many dislike him.
ReplyDeleteas to bieber, i think it's less about hating him as much as hating the machine that turns him out non-stop like so much sausage in our faces. that is what i hate.
ReplyDeleteas far as microsoft goes i would just echo the words of a guy named "steve" who said "they just have no taste..."
I see what your saying James, but there is a difference between, not liking someone or something and HATING something. I don't personally like Justin Beaver, but I'm not gonna wish ill on him. The kid has SOME vocal talent, and makes catchy radio tunes.
ReplyDeleteMatt, I agree, people with a higher degree of rational thought can identify the man behind the curtain, and air their grievances with him. Unfortunately most people that have access to the internet and youtube can't make that connection, and are extremely malicious towards the kid, and people who enjoy his form of entertainment.
ALSO Matt: Where is this "Steve" now?
